On Friday, 7 March 2025, the Vryheid High School (VHS) Interact Club embarked on a heartwarming mission to bring joy and support to the Inkulukelo Children’s Home, a non-profit organisation (NPO) dedicated to caring for disadvantaged children.
The VHS learners driven by their compassion, as per school’s values, collected an impressive array of donations. The donations included: food, clothing and toys. These essential items will undoubtedly make a significant difference in the lives of the children residing at the home.
The Interact Club members took it upon themselves to deliver the donations to the foundation, where they were warmly received by the children and staff. The visit was not just about dropping off donations – the Interact members also spent quality time with the kids, engaging in playful activities and creating unforgettable memories.
The VHS Interact Club’s selfless act is a shining example of the positive impact that young people can have on their communities. Special thanks go to Mrs. Booyse and all the Interact members who made this initiative possible. Their kindness, compassion, and dedication to making a difference are truly inspiring.
