Vryheid High School has enjoyed another busy few weeks, with our learners participating in activities ranging from ACTS fellowship and cricket fixtures to an action-packed leadership camp.
ACTS MEMBERS PUT THEIR BIBLE KNOWLEDGE TO THE TEST
The Young Disciples Claim the Grand Prize
Much fun was had by our ACTS members over the past few weeks as their Bible knowledge was put to the test through a series of exciting games and quizzes.
Five groups of five battled it out for the ultimate grand prize – FOOD!
After plenty of friendly competition, The Young Disciples emerged victorious. The winning group included Grade 10 learners Kuhle Mntungwa, Ntobeko Mdletshe and Luthando Dlamini.
Congratulations to our Grade 10 winners! It was wonderful to see our learners enjoying fellowship while growing in their knowledge of the Bible.
CRICKET TEAMS TAKE TO THE FIELD
VHS Continues the Cricket Season
On Thursday, 10 September, Vryheid High School’s 1st Cricket Team took on Lincoln Heights. Despite their efforts on the field, VHS unfortunately lost the match by five wickets.
On Saturday, our U/15 Cricket Team faced Sarel Cilliers. The boys put up a determined fight but unfortunately lost the match by four wickets.
Well done to both teams for representing Vryheid High School with pride. We wish our cricketers all the best for their upcoming fixtures.
LEADERS OF 2027 READY TO LEAD
A Weekend of Teamwork, Growth and Unforgettable Memories
Vryheid High School’s Leaders of 2027 enjoyed a memorable leadership camp at Elandsheim Guest Farm from 11–13 September 2026.
The weekend was packed with exciting activities, including team-building challenges, an obstacle course, tree climbing, abseiling, archery, a potjie competition, games, campfire drumming and skits. The learners embraced every challenge with enthusiasm and demonstrated excellent teamwork, determination and leadership.
With a fantastic atmosphere, great food and wonderful camp facilitators, the weekend was filled with laughter, personal growth and unforgettable memories.
More importantly, the camp gave our Leaders of 2027 the opportunity to strengthen their bond as a team, discover their individual strengths and develop the skills they will need in the year ahead.
We look forward to seeing this group step into their leadership roles and make a positive contribution to Vryheid High School in 2027.
