Learners received their certificates for the NARCANON peer counselor course they completed.
Another week has passed and our matric learners have ticked off one more event on their school leavers to-do list. The matric farewell, Deck and Dice Ball, went off without a hitch. The hall looked dramatic, the learners elegant and it was a smart evening to celebrate their high school careers to be looked upon by all with fond memories.
The compassionate young learners who volunteered in term three to do a NARCANON peer counselor course received their certificates this week and can be seen in the photo. Congratulations to these learners on the achievement and thank you for volunteering to be of assistance to your fellow man.
Our 1st team cricket boys played against Landbou High School on Wednesday. Landbou batted first and were bowled out for 43. The leading wicket takers were S. Tabethe with 3 wickets and C. High with 2. We went in to bat and scored the necessary runs in 2.3 overs. K. Meier was the top scorer with 35 not out. Vryheid High School won with 10 wickets.
Over the weekend the u/15 played cricket against Sarel Cilliers and won with 10 wickets.
The soccer boys also took part in a soccer tournament on Saturday, 5 August. The boys won 3 of their 5 matches. Congratulations to these young gentlemen as well.
We are also proud to announce that the school library has made it through to the next round of the ILETS awards for excellence. Please continue to support the library with donations of tyres and funds and thank you to all who have already shown their support. Please contact the school if you would like to get involved with the library and its improvement.
