It has been another busy and successful week at Vryheid High School, with our learners proudly representing the school on the sports field, serving the community through environmental initiatives and showcasing their musical talents.

Soccer Teams Take on Volksrust

On Wednesday, 29 July, our soccer teams travelled to Volksrust High School for a series of exciting fixtures.

The Under-15 boys fought hard but were defeated 7–1, while our First Team boys produced an outstanding performance to secure a thrilling 4–3 victory.

Well done to all our soccer players for their determination and sportsmanship.

Girls’ Cricket Continues Winning Form

Our First Team Girls’ Cricket side travelled to Ladysmith on Thursday, 30 July, where they recorded an impressive eight-wicket victory.

A standout performance came from Raeesa Patel and Angela Stoltenkamp, who shared an excellent 70-run partnership to guide the team to victory.

Congratulations to the girls on another outstanding performance. We are incredibly proud of your dedication and teamwork.

EcoClub Makes a Difference

Our EcoClub was back in action on Friday, 31 July, once again demonstrating that small actions can make a big difference.

The hardworking learners cleaned Utrecht Street, Kommissie Street (adjacent to the VHS Hostel) and the area surrounding the Donkey Field. Together they collected an impressive 18 bags of litter, helping to keep our community clean and beautiful.

A sincere thank you to every learner who sacrificed part of their Friday afternoon to serve the community. Your commitment to environmental stewardship is an inspiration.
