Tekkies, movies and motivational mayem

Brightly coloured tekkies of students and teachers. Die week wat verby is, was ‘n redelike besige en vol gepakte week hier by Hoërskool Vryheid en die week wat kom is net so besig.

Ons is nie net besig om voor te berei vir die eksamen, wat volgende week begin nie, maar ons gaan ook bietjie laf raak en interessante dinge aanvang in die naam van geesvang vir ons krag meeting teen Hoërskool Pionier. Ons nooi graag die gemeenskap uit om die twee hoërskole te kom ondersteun hier by Hoërskool Vryheid, Saterdag, 3 Junie.

On Wednesday, 24 May, we played Netball against Inkamana and ACTS (Association for Christian Teachers and Students) hosted a free movie night in the lecture theatre.

About 60 learners arrived – popcorn, sweets and blankets in hand – to watch the very popular movie, ‘God’s Not Dead’. Thank you to Dizzy and Siya from Freedom Life Church for praying for and encouraging the learners who were touched by the message.

On Saturday, 27 May, our Interact community service group visited the SPCA to donate food and bowls, and also to play with the animals that need as much love as your pets at home. Thank you to the SPCA for everything they do on a limited budget.

Lastly, we supported Tekkie Tax day on Friday and learners came adorned in comfortable and brightly coloured tekkies, all in support of a variety of noble causes.

We hope to see you all on Saturday in support of the green and gold.
