CULTURAL FESTIVAL AND SPORT!
On Wednesday, 24 August 2016, we hosted our first Choir and Band Cultural Festival where learners had the opportunity to display their musical talents. The other purpose of the evening was to honour and thank the sponsors who have generously supported the band with cash donations or discounts. The band now has a new uniform which means they look very neat and impressive whilst playing very well. The drum line of this band performed a solo which really impressed the audience. Our sincere thanks to all involved in coaching the band and the choir. To all the sponsors a big thank you for your generous contributions.
VHS 1st Team Cricket played a match against Ferrum last week. VHS batted first and scored 115 for 7 in their 20 overs. M Dedekind and C High were the best batsmen. Ferrum then batted and reached 86 for 7 in their 20 overs. The top VHS bowlers were R Niebuhr and I Niebuhr. VHS won the match with 26 runs. Well played gentlemen. We are very proud of you.
We also played tennis against Ferrum on Friday, 26 August 2016, and Ferrum won 11:8.
The 1st Team Soccer played on Thursday, 25 Auguast, against Mpofini, we lost by 5 goals.
The Grade 12 September trial examinations begin on Friday 02 September 2016 with the learners writing LO. We wish the Grade 12’s everything of the best with these examinations. We also remind that you are busy with the very important task of shaping your future. Prepare well!
