Karl Hellberg and Tobias Niebuhr have been pushing each other to achieve academically as they competed to claim top spot in the grade for the last 5 years. This healthy competition has culminated with these two bright sparks finishing in 3rd and 4th place in the province respectively.
They were acknowledged for their achievements at the provincial prizegiving yesterday in Durban. Karl is pursuing a degree in engineering while Tobias will be studying medicine. The school is extremely proud of these two. Congratulations to all the matrics who have achieved their National Senior Certificate. We will release a summary of the results next week.

On Wednesday,19 Oct and Thursday, 20 Oct we hosted our annual prize-giving ceremonies where learners were rewarded for their academic and other achievements. It is encouraging and rewarding that these ceremonies are very long and there are pages of recipients on these lists as this means VHS is still on the right track and busy shaping winners! We are very proud of all the learners who received prizes at these prestigious events. It is also worth mentioning that the guest speakers at both ceremonies were ex-VHS learners now successful, impressive adults.
