A twelve-year journey has come to an end for the class 2021.
We celebrated their school career in style. The event was at the mercy of the Covid regulations, but we were fortunate enough to host a glamourous Arabian Night. The matrics all looked exceptional and the night was a great success.
Nothing tells a story better than pictures, so we will let them take it from here. We would just like to wish our grade 12 ‘s the best of luck with the upcoming finals.
On Friday, 29 July 2016, our annual Matric Farewell with the theme ‘Ties and Tiaras’ was held. Again this was a very well-organised event with a sophisticated, stylish look and atmosphere.
The girls looked beautiful and the boys like young gentlemen. The atmosphere was enhanced when the six head leaders opened the dance floor with a waltz. To Mrs Schoeman and all those who helped her, a great thank you for giving the 2016 matriculants an evening they will forever cherish.
Our learners participated in the World Knowledge Olympiad in May. The following learners were the top achievers in their grades in VHS:
Gr 8 – Salmaan Dhooma
Gr 9 – Sihawukele Myeni
Gr 10 – Benjamin Chukwu
Gr 11 – Jürgen Paul
Gr 12 – Mark Dedekind
Mark Dedekind was the overall top achiever in VHS in this Olympiad. Congratulations to all our learners who participated. Well done!
The u/15 boys’ cricket team played their first match last week against Dundee High School. They made 170 runs and VHS made 130. This team shows great potential and with more practise and intensive coaching they will soon be a team to reckon with.
